It’s a Beautiful Thing

A mother.  A daughter.  A connection.  It was real and these two radiated warmth, beauty and a connection that was undeniable.  It’s a beautiful thing and I’m glad I was able to capture that.  Thank you both for a wonderful session!

The Phin Family

Not too many people can say they married their high school sweethearts.  The Phins shared the same school, the same classes and maybe even the same  friends, but now they share the same last names along with two beautiful daughters.  It’s evident that these two are a perfect fit from the way they look at each other to the way they hold each other and all I could do was secretly melt inside.  The last time I can recall feeling that way was the day I saw an elderly couple hand in hand, yes – they were holding hands – walking down the avenue to the bus stop and all I could think was, “Awwwww…that is soooo cute!”  I love couples who know how to love, who aren’t afraid of PDA, who whisper sweet nothings into each others ears with no regards to their surroundings.  They were comfortable in each other’s skin and if anyone can grow old to still be holding hands walking down the avenue in 50 years, it would definitely be the Phins.

Bubbly anyone???

Sneak Peak: The Phin Family

Awwww soooky soooky nowwww!!!  Long time…no see, but you know me love you long time, so here’s a sneaky peaky of what’s to come…

The Valdez Family

2004:  I went to FIDM to study fashion design.  2006:  I traded my dress form in for a Canon Rebel XTi.  I stumbled off my uneven cobblestoned path and paved a new one.  My new path is still in cobblestone and uneven, but that’s what I love about it.  It’s not so perfect and boring – besides…I’m a texture girl and at the end of the day it just makes for a better backdrop.  Ha! : )  Life is unscripted and beautiful moments happen when we least expect it to and that’s the best part.

9:30am:  Meet the Valdez Family at Manhattan Beach Creamery for a family shoot.  11:30am:  Shooting family session at a luxury boutique hotel in Manhattan Beach.  For months, we’ve been exchanging e-mails and ideas for the perfect location and agreed on the quaint ice cream parlor in downtown Manhattan.  I looked forward to shooting there and we did, but because life is unscripted and beautiful moments happen when we least expect it to…the best part of the shoot was everywhere else but the the ice cream parlor!

Thank you, Mom and Dad for coming the extra mile to be in front of my camera.  You guys shine and it really shows in your pictures!  Ariana is the cutest lil’ 8 month old (I couldn’t stop smiling when I was editing her pictures) and quite the ham!  Hope your trip back to San Jose was swell!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend!

I love the expression on Ariana’s face!  Can’t you hear her saying, “Oooh weee!!!!”?

The Tizano Family

The epitome of a perfect family would quite simply be a family like the Tizano’s – consisting of a mom, a dad, a son and a little daughter with the curliest top!  Hmmm…I wonder if  they have a house with a dog and a picket fence to go home to…

: )

Mom and Dad, thank you for a wonderful session!  Thank you for sharing your family, your faces and allowing me to capture your moments.

With love and adoration,

-Navy

The Alveran Family

The Alveran Family called and I obliged capturing all of their greatness and needless to say their gorgeousness! My job is easy when good looking people grace it and this family was no exception! Mom and Dad, thank you for welcoming me into your home…showing me your family photos…and sharing with me the stories behind the photos. Great hospitality is always appreciated! :)
