“Baby love, my baby love…”
I was a wreck – a nervous wreck throughout the shoot. Newborns are unfamiliar and personally, it’s been so long – so long since I’ve fed a baby, kissed a baby and held a baby and here I was photographing a newborn. Despite the jitters, I was anxious and antsy about the session. This was one of my first newborn shoots and although it’s not my forte, I will try my hand at anything…at least once! Congratulations, Mom and Dad! She’s a beauty!
Cheap and chic is my solution to wear and tear. One of my favorite spots is Forever 21 , and just recently our local Forever 21 store upgraded to even a bigger location. I just couldn’t believe my eyes when I realized they turned a department store, which was once Mervyn’s, into Forever 21. The space is huge and I was just overwhelmed with all of the racks and racks of clothing that they had. Now, they have a plus size section and even a mens section. I’ve loved Forever 21 …well…ever since I was 21 simply because it’s affordable. Who says you gotta compromise style for price? Lately, I’ve been shopping there more, especially for versatile pieces that I can wear to my shoots. When I’m on a shoot, I tend to lay on the ground, kneel and squat in the most bacteria infested places and at the end of the day, I come home with worn out, raggedy clothes that I cannot seem to salvage even with a stain remover. So that’s just one of the many reasons why I shop at Forever 21. It’s cheap and chic and great for wear and tear!
Last weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the Tilt N Shift Bridal Shoot hosted by Doug McNamee of Tilt N Shift and Henry Wang with 10+ photographers! We had two sets of models to work with and shot at a few different locations and it was a blast! Hope you enjoy! Here are the goods…
Happy Friday! I love looking at magazine spreads, not only for the latest trends and fashions but for inspiration and poses. Here’s an editorial spread from Harper’s Bazaar May ’09 Issue via Women Management. Don’t you just love how bold these pieces are?
I look forward to Mya Mondays, but the truth is…everyday is a Mya Monday. I’m excited about it and although it’s still in it’s baby stages, I plan on givin’ it a little bit of lovin’ with juicy updates, latest happenings and mommy must-haves! Come share in my mommy diaries at www.littlemissmya.com!
