Juice was flowin’, music was bumpin’, DJ was spinnin’ and the kids were cuttin’ up the dance floor! Mya and friends made an appearance at the posh Cinespace in Hollywood for a pre-birthday party in celebration for Mya’s 3rd Birthday! Baby Loves Disco is a real dance party at a real club with a real DJ! The club transformed into a kid friendly atmosphere with bubble machines, baskets of scarves and egg-shakers, a chill-out room with tents, toys, books and puzzles, a full spread of healthy snacks from fresh strawberries to organic juice. The fun spilled out from every corner of the club with plenty of activities that kept the lil’ booties movin’! Mya’s little feet skipped, hopped and jumped to the beat and there I was engrossed in the moment and in awe that we’ve come to that very place at that very time to see our little girl display her soul on the dance floor. It’s the special moments and milestones that leaves me in awe and this moment was one of many that did just that. Often, these moments become surreal. Very surreal…when I think about how far she’s come and all of the things along the way that molded and shaped her into the person that she is today. I mean…how does she know that song? Who taught her how to play hopscotch? When did she learn how to draw happy faces? What is it with the robot voice and why in the world does she love cheese so much? I may not know all the answers, but I do know that this little girl makes me happy. Like her little feet on the dance floor, she makes my heart hop, jump and skip a beat!
